Throughout InSite's work, we have listened to people of color who identified the need for white folks to organize and gain skills with other white folks.  InSite’s workshop “Addressing Whiteness” is a day-long journey for white folks to understand “whiteness” as a form of power, and the ways they can ally to disrupt the negative ways whiteness impacts their daily lives and work. Key to our curriculum is letting go of “good/bad” frameworks to deepen our analysis and build solidarity with communities of color. We also use these workshops to help create Communities of Practice for white folks to build a healthy community of other white people to support them in their journey.
