Sharing the Fire:  A Black and Indigenous Solidarity Gathering

Tues., Oct. 17 | 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Location: Sagrado Galleria

Curated by: Black River Collective & Cihuapactli Collective

Join us for a community dialogue regarding the shared experiences between Black and Indigenous communities, particularly those in South Phoenix. Come sit around a fireplace with the Cihuapactli Collective and Black River Collective to dialogue about our collective grief and loss, the impact of migration on our cultural identities, and the impact of shared harm in a shared healing space. We will convene outdoors in the open lot behind the Sagrado Galleria. This is a family friendly space.

We are grateful to InSite Consultants for inviting and holding the Coalition and to LISC Phoenix and the City of Phoenix for their support of this event. We are grateful to offer this event in collaboration with a group of Black and Indigenous Solidarity group that includes Mass Liberation AZ, Savvy Pen, Cahokia Phx, Black River Collective, and the Cihuapactli Collective, Reframe Youth Arts Center.

This work is made possible by the generous support of LISC Phoenix and the Turning The Corner initiative.
