Racial Equity

Foundations of Racial Equity (Part I)
(2 hours - Virtual Format)

In this session, we focus on bringing participants into “shared knowledge” and understanding of basic concepts and useful frameworks for learning. We establish shared vocabulary, knowledge to the how racism operates in our daily lives, and introduction to our Theory of Change: Unlearning, Reflective Practice, and Wisdom at the Margins. Participants will leave the workshop with stronger practice and analysis, and deeper curiosity for practical implementation and ongoing racial justice practice.

Learning together:

(Expanding Language) Creating a shared understanding of concepts and cultural history;
(DIE) Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity beyond the jargon and fads;
(Levels of Racism) Understanding how to see and experience race in our lives;
(Margins to Center) Mapping our personal and professional power.

Foundations of Racial Equity (Part II)
(2 hours virtual format)

In this session, we deepen our analysis and knowledge of structures of white supremacy. We focus on learning the characteristics of cultural white supremacy in our personal lives and in our professional lives. Participants unlearn and learn new practices for how to interrupt, and redirect to more equitable pathways.

Dismantling Whiteness

Dismantling Whiteness (Part 1)
(2 hours virtual format)

One of our most sought-after workshops, Addressing Whiteness utilizes an innovative curriculum to analyze and dismantle toxic whiteness in our personal and professional lives. We recommend this training for groups and organizations who are more than 85% white-identifying. This moderate-advanced training does NOT use frameworks of white allyship or white privilege, instead focuses on undoing white fragility and institutional fragility to build the stamina for liberation of self, and to create institutions in service of diverse populations.

Learning together:

(Othering Whiteness) Analysis of WSC and structural protection of whiteness;
(Stages of White Fragility) Understanding how white fragility is form of racial attack;
(Characteristics of Whiteness) Identifying histories and cultures of whiteness as normal and toxic;
(Destroying the White Savior) Beyond white privilege and white savior to liberation.
